Sodium Aluminosilicate

High-Performance Builder and Functional Material for Detergent and Industrial Applications

4A Zeolite

Zeolites, with the general formula Na(AlO2)(SiO2)x·yH2O, are crystalline aluminosilicates with a porous structure. This structure allows them to adsorb certain molecules and exchange ions, which is why they are used in water softening, drying, and separation processes. Zeolites are generally produced from sodium aluminate and sodium silicate under controlled reaction conditions.

4A Zeolite Powder Production Process

4A zeolite is a type of synthetic aluminosilicate which is generally used as a builder in detergents. Its ability to carry out ion exchange helps to reduce the hardness of water, a property that makes it especially suitable for laundry powders and other detergent formulations. The production process of 4A Zeolite begins by preparing the solution needed to form the zeolite gel. The gel is then left to age before it goes through hydrothermal crystallization, the stage in which the zeolite crystals develop. Once crystallization has taken place, the process moves on to filtration and washing, followed by solid-liquid separation, flash drying, grinding, and screening in order to get the required powder. Before it is packaged, the finished 4A Zeolite undergoes quality control, focusing on particle size, moisture content, whiteness, and ion-exchange performance.
